Description
UOP 823 – Platinum in Fresh Platinum-Rhenium Catalysts by Spectrophotometry
This method is for determining platinum in fresh gamma-alumina catalysts containing rhenium but not molybdenum. Elements that produce colored ions in the color-development step, such as rhenium, constitute a positive interference, however, compensation for these interfering elements is made with an isoamyl acetate extraction. Concentrations of silica up to approximately 150 ppm do not interfere.
