UOP 606 – Chloride in Hydrocarbons by Oxy-Hydrogen Combustion
This method is for determining from 1 to greater than 250 ppm of chloride in organic materials, including aromatic and olefinic hydrocarbons. The higher concentrations are handled through appropriate dilution of the samples. The material analyzed must be a liquid or gas; or a solid that will dissolve in a suitable combustible solvent. Special provisions for the combustion of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) are included.
