SMPTE EG 31 – Considerations for Cassette Bar Code Readers (R1999)

This guideline illustrates examples of possible manufacturing implementations of the cassette label recess area which may impact the reading of bar code labels.
It applies to all SMPTE standardized cassettes which employ a label area utilized for bar code identification.
