BS 3710 – Specification for brake hose couplings for locomotives and rolling stock

Specifies dimensions for brake hose couplings for compressed air and vacuum braked locomotives and rolling stock, and requirements for materials. An appendix shows alternative types of grid for the vacuum hose couplings. The hose for use with these couplings is specified in BS 3682.
