AS 2868 – Classification of machinery for earthmoving, construction, surface mining and agricultural purposes

Sets out the type and size of earthmoving machinery with consideration to both power and mass criteria. Where possible, classes have been made small enough to separate machines with significantly different productive output. Tables provide the class number in relation to net engine power, operating mass, digging depth, classifying load, static linear load, bowl capacity and classifying power.
