BS 6450-1 – Private branch exchanges for connection to public switched telephone networks run by certain public telecommunications operators. Specification for general requirements

Applies to dealer boards and automatic call distributors, but not for connection to shared service lines, 1+1 carrier systems or connection in parallel with other apparatus whose ringer equivalence number exceeds 0.3. This standard has been presented for designation under the Telecommunications Act 1984.
